What is the secret wisdom of God? When I first encountered the word wisdom in my childish age, I was fascinated with it. It is something that I viewed as an ability which only people who have great minds have. Since then, I always seek for wisdom. I’ve searched for it in great books and in profound activities such as meditations and reflections. I followed the philosophies and lives of the world’s greatest persons in the history. I studied science and astrophysics in my attempt to unlock the theory of everything. I listen to many people of the modern world to copy their wisdom. However, the wisdom that is true and pure cannot just be found in human speech and human thoughts. Human wisdom may sounds eloquent and flowery, and can entice many people. But not all of them contain the truth and power to save anyone’s life.
The wisdom of God is not just persuasive words; they are powerful words that can make heaven and Earth (imagine how powerful it is). Even the modern human science cannot make a single fiber of hair out of nothing (imagine how weak it is). So I pursued to look for the wisdom of God, which is heavenly and can only be studied at the scale of invisibility (more invisible than atoms and its sub particles). Then, here is an ancient compilation of books that existed more than thousands of years ago (2,000+ – 3,000+ years). When I read it and invested faith on it, I was amazed of the wisdom of God. The questions that were not answered by science and other human wisdom are simply found in the scriptures. To understand the messages, we just need to become spiritual. By becoming heavenly rather than earthly and natural, we can relate the subject matter of the Bible. We will know and understand that the secret wisdom of God, which (who) already existed even the beginning of time is Jesus Christ. I am a Christian and I testify that the Wisdom of God is pure, powerful and far greater than any kind of human wisdom.
1 Corinthians 2:6-7 (NIV)
We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. No, we speak of God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.
1 Corinthians 2:13-14 (NIV)
This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1 Corinthians 1:22-25 (NIV)
Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.
1 Corinthians 1:30 (NIV)
It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.
